Sankalpam 10th Anniversary Programme, Dance Company Sankalpam originally trained at Kalakshetra outside Chennai in South India. Rukhmini Devi was director of Kalakshtra and at that time and it was she who preserved the Temple Dances as Bharata Natyam after the temple system was discontinued.
