Pure Land

This is the war diary of Major Teddy Parker RE CBE. In it he describes the dramatic battle for Crete in 1941, his subsequent capture by the German invasion forces and his internment in various German camps and his eventual repatriation to England. This design of this war diary incorporates spreads from the original document, although the text is edited from a total of 4 different documents written by the author. All officers were issued with ‘War Diaries’ though not all filled it with such drama and consequence.
A copies of the diary are held in the War Museum in London, The History Museum in Heraklion (Crete) and the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham, Kent.
